Aweks Comel Kencing Dalam Lift
A young woman is the talk of the town after she was caught on CCTV peeing inside an elevator.
The recording shows the woman, believed to be in her 20s, answering the call of nature at 6.07am on Oct 10.
Sri Saujana flat joint management committee secretary Yeoh Kean Huat said the woman, believed to be a Chinese national, had not been seen since the incident.
The 16-second footage shows the woman turning her head to look at the camera before removing her denim shorts to urinate. She then presses several buttons on the lift. Yeoh believes the woman lives on the 13th floor.
Following a meeting with the joint management committee, Yeoh said they decided to put up printouts of the CCTV footage, with the woman's eyes blacked out, on the notice board to serve as a warning to others.
“We decided not to lodge a police report as this was the first case caught on CCTV since we installed it two years ago,” he said at the flat in Macallum Street yesterday.
A resident, who wished to be known as Vicky, said a local resident would never do such a thing.
“I think she must have been drunk to simply pee in the lift. She could have been a China doll' renting a room here.
“They work at night and come back in the morning. That's why I've never seen her before,” said Vicky, who also stays on the 13th floor.
Another resident, Sirajuddin Baheran, 28, believes the woman is not a resident there, but just a visitor.
“This is so embarrassing. She did it even though she was aware that there was a camera in the lift,” he said.
Yeoh said there were about 60 CCTVs installed at the three blocks of the flat and its surroundings.
“We spent about RM30,000 to install and maintain the CCTVs. Before the cameras were installed, there were cases where panties and underwear were disposed of in the lifts.”
