Battleship Movie - I give it 5 star!

I've just came back from watching Battleship and it was totally ohsem! It was so intense and got a lot of action from US NAVY destroyer and battleships.

It was actually inspired from Hasbro Battleship game. If you were 80's-90's babies you should familiar with this game. Well. I do. I was very occupied by this game in PC version back then when i'm in primary school.

Synopsis: In 2005, NASA discovers an extrasolar planet with conditions similar to Earth. On the chance that it contains intelligent life, NASA transmits a powerful signal from a communications array based in Hawaii. During the RIMPAC opening ceremony, Hopper gets into a brawl with Captain Nagata of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. Hopper soon learns that he is to be kicked out of the Navy at the end of RIMPAC. Meanwhile, Samantha accompanies a veteran amputee on a hike on Oahu.

Did you noticed that when the admiral thanking to all the countries involved in RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific Exercise), he did mention Malaysia. Well, as a matter of fact, Malaysia is actually one of the observer nation. While not contributing any ships, observer nations are involved in RIMPAC at the strategic level and use the opportunity to prepare for possible full participation in the future.

The 3 main actor in the movie is actually 2 US NAVY Destroyer that is USS John Paul Jones and USS Sampson.

USS John Paul Jones

 USS Sampson

And the hero of the movie is gonna be the USS Missouri. With no better option, the surviving crew of the USS John Paul Jones return to harbor and board the USS Missouri, a 70-year old decommissioned battleship that has been converted into a museum. With the aid of the museum staff, all elderly ex-crewmen, Hopper manages to put the Missouri out to sea again. With some clever maneuvers, the Missouri destroys the last alien ship and shells the communications array, destroying all the aliens.

USS Missouri

USS Missouri (BB-63) ("Mighty Mo" or "Big Mo") is a United States Navy Iowa-class battleship, and was the third ship of the U.S. Navy to be named in honor of the US state of Missouri. Missouri was the last battleship built by the United States, and was the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan which ended World War II.

Battleship also set an Box Office opening-day record for Universal Studios in Malaysia ($390,000).
